ICHEI Delegation visited Bandung Institute of Technology (Indonesia)

On May 28th, Prof. LI Ming, Director of ICHEI was invited to visit Bandung Institute of Technology in Indonesia. The delegation included Dr. ZHAO Ke, Assistant Director, and Ms. Sherry Duan, Programme Officer of Asia-Pacific Programme Office, as well as representatives from Huawei and Guangzhou Createview Optoelectronics Technology.

The delegation was greeted by Dr. Jaka Sembiring, the Dean of School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI), at the main board room. He first gave the delegation an impressive overview of BIT and school's background and development. It was then followed by an introduction of UNESCO-ICHEI and SUSTeh from Prof. LI Ming. Together, with videos and promotion materials, both organizations were able to exchange ideas and visions in depth.

During the meeting, Prof. LI was invited to witness the official signing of Huawei ICT Academy, which unveils the formal University-Enterprise collaboration between Huawei and BIT.

As the most historical technology-focused institute, the architecture of BIT has received influence from the colonial era. The delegation received a campus tour, including a visit to its library, the auditorium, laboratory facilities donated by Huawei, and interaction with students.





BIT is a co-educational research university based in Bandung, Indonesia. Founded in the year 1920, BIT is the most historical university in the nation. BIT has been named the top choice of high school graduates across the country for multiple years, and it is considered to be the most famous universities along with University of Gadjah Mada and University of Indonesia nationwide.
