On January 21, 2015, Professor Jiao, Deputy Dean of Education Technology School in South China Normal University, came with one of his team members for a discussion on MOOCs and the construction of MOOC platforms.
On January 17, 2015, Dr.Jieying Xu, a former employee of UNESCO Office Beijing, was invited for a seminar with the Project Team on UNESCO’s Integrated Comprehensive Strategy for Category 2 Institutes and Centres under the Auspices of UNESCO (Document 37C/Resolution 93).
On December 19, 2014, Professor Manli Li from Tsinghua University was invited to Shenzhen for a discussion on her recent academic work — MOOCs in China and all over the world. She presented a development line of MOOCs and their new trends.
November 9, 2014,Professor Ruth Hayhoe, a well-known professor in comparative higher education, and her assistant Dr. Julia Pan were invited from the University of Toronto to Shenzhen for a discussion on setting up an international centre for higher education innovation.
In October 2014, Shenzhen Project Team visited the UNESCO Korea Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU), learning from their successful experience and laying a foundation for the establishment of future partnerships.
