IIOE has attached great importance to the quality assurance of higher education, especially in the area of online and blended teaching and learning in higher education institutions (HEIs). To this end, the IIOE team has worked with online education and quality assurance experts around the globe to formulate the IIOE Quality Assurance (QA) Framework.
UNESCO-ICHEI calls for Capacity Development Specialist whose responsibilities includ designing and developing IIOE capacity development system or training plan, organizing and coordinating IIOE capacity development sessions, supporting the implementation of cascading IIOE training in partner higher education institutions and so on.
On the afternoons of April 7th and 16th, 2020, International Institute of Online Education (IIOE) successfully launched its COVID-19 Response Training Series with two webinars, titled “Using ZOOM to Deliver Effective Virtual Lectures” and “Course development strategies to convert face-to-face resources into an online course” respectively.
Since its launching, more than 130 ICT-related courses in EN, FR and CH have been integrated in IIOE platform focusing on computer science, TVET and teacher professional development.
On April 2, the International Institute of Online Education (IIOE) was co-launched online by the International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI). The launch was joined by 11 higher education institutions (HEIs) partners in Africa and Asia-Pacific, and 4 HEIs and 8 high-tech enterprises in China.
