Tencent Education Assists IIOE Project Launched by ICHEI

On December 12, 2019, Wang Tao and Fu Manqing, vice president of Tencent Education, Li Zhe, general manager of education industry, Liang Junjie, education business manager visited ICHEI and held talks on the International Institute of Online Education(IIOE) project launched by ICHEI.

Vice President Fu Manqing introduced the main business of Tencent Education at present. With the attention of Mr. Ma Huateng, Mr. Tang Daosheng and Mr. Chen Yidan, Tencent Education continues to make efforts to help Chinese education. In terms of customer and business terminal , Tencent connects government, universities, and education training institutions. At the university level, Tencent Cooperates with National Open University and Shanghai Open University to build cloud platform, realize information construction and live broadcasting function.

Vice president Wang Tao pointed out that in the field of higher education, Tencent Education attaches great importance to joint talents fostering, research cloud co-constructing to realize the informatization construction of colleges and universities. Tencent cloud is a powerful support for massive services in complex networks.

General manager Li Zhe said that Tencent Education mainly focuses on three aspects: building the information-based foundation and platform, transforming from traditional hardware to service, and promoting the balance of China’s educational resources.

Han Wei, executive deputy director of ICHEI, introduced the background of the IIOE project and expressed her willingness to seek more partners.

Director Li Ming welcomed and thanked Tencent Education for their visit, and determined to establish cooperation opportunities in the fields of course transmission, user information security, live broadcasting and video conference, etc. The Tencent Classroom courses, customer service robots and supporting tools are also required by IIOE.

After the meeting, the two sides agreed to hold further talks. IIOE project is funded by Tencent foundation, ICHEI expects Tencent Education as one of the co-initiator to jointly promote the development and innovation of higher education in Asian and African developing countries.
