2018 Seminar on Management Informatization of Higher Education Institutions for Chad LaunchedJuly 18, 2018
The opening ceremony of “2018 Seminar on Management Informatization of Higher Education Institutions for Chad” was held in Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) on July 13, 2018. The seminar was hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, organized by the Shenzhen Association for Promoting International Economic & Technological Cooperation (APIETC) and co-organized by Centre for Higher Education Research (CHER) of SUSTech. Mr. FAN Xiangdong, Vice President of APIETC, Professor LI Fengliang, Vice-Chairperson of University Council of SUSTech, and Professor LI Ming, Director of CHER attended the opening ceremony.
The 20 day seminar will showcase China’s experience and practices in the field of education informatization from policy, system, implementation and application level to Chad participants. Professors from China’s top universities and research institutes will be invited to give lectures on general courses, specialized courses and case studies in various fields. Participants will not only learn professional knowledge in the classroom, but also have the opportunity to discover China’s online education platform, tools, intelligent teaching terminal products and various teaching application software through field visits. In addition, students will go to Beijing and Guangzhou to visit China’s best universities and the leading enterprises in the field of education informatization and information technology.
The “2018 Seminar on Management Informatization of Higher Education Institutions for Chad” is a high-level seminar organized specially for higher education representatives from Chad. It aims to fully demonstrate China’s achievements in ICT application in higher education, to help Chad delegation learn from China’s experience, to set up an international cooperation platform for Chinese educational enterprises, and to explore opportunities of higher education cooperation between Chad and China. The delegation are mainly officials from Chad Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, professors and lecturers from universities and higher education institutions.
