ICHEI Attended Ministerial Forum “Global Dialogue on ICT and Education Innovation” in Moscow

From April 17 to 22, 2018, Professor LI Ming, Director of ICHEI, and Dr. HAN Wei, Deputy Director of ICHEI, led a delegation to attend the Ministerial Forum “Global Dialogue on ICT and Education Innovation” and the Moscow International Education Fair held in Moscow, Russian Federation.

The Ministerial Forum “Global Dialogue on ICT and Education Innovation” was held by UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE), which gathered ministers of the Ministry of Education from UNESCO member states, and representatives of the education sector, academia and business circles. Professor LI Ming, on behalf of ICHEI, delivered a speech titled ICT in Promoting the Improvement of Education Quality: Experiences and Practices. He used examples of the Smart Classroom Projects that ICHEI has been implementing in Asia and Africa to show the efforts made by ICHEI, which was highly thought of by participants in the Forum.

Moscow International Education Fair was an open forum hosted by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, in which up-to-date educational technologies, devices and solutions are displayed. ICHEI participated in the Fair as an exhibitor and showcased itself via video, audio, brochure and so on. The Fair is of great significance for ICHEI to increase its publicity in the educational sector of Russia and the world at large.

ICHEI delegation also visited UNESCO-IITE and held a meeting with IITE Director Mr. ZHAN Tao to discuss the cooperation in jointly compiling publications on ICT application in higher education. Both sides agreed to actively explore possibilities of cooperation and share resources of enterprises with each other so as to increase China’s influences in the UNESCO system.
