Former Assistant Director-General for Strategic Planning of UNESCO visited ICHEIMarch 30, 2017
During March 24th to 27th, former Assistant Director-General for Strategic Planning of UNESCO, Mr. Hans d’Orville, and Ms. Mehri Madarshahi were invited to visit ICHEI and offer consulting services to devise its long-term strategic plan. During their visit, they were warmly received by Ms. WU Yihuan, Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen Municipal Government and Chairwoman of the Governing Board of ICHEI. Mr. LI Ming, Director of ICHEI also attended the meeting.
Ms. WU, on behalf of Shenzhen Municipal Government and Governing Board of ICHEI, extended her warmest welcome to Mr. d’Orville and Ms. Madarshahi. She shared her thoughts on the strategic plan of ICHEI, and expressed her expectations on the collaboration between Shenzhen and UNESCO in the future.
The staff at ICHEI held several rounds of in-depth conversations with the two experts. Mr. LI, first introduced the current status of ICHEI as well as sharing his expectations for the Centre’s future development. In the following conversations, chiefs from different offices introduced the vision, objectives, activities, as well as the management and operations of International Advisory Committee of ICHEI. These several sounds of conversations provided Mr. d’Orville and Ms. Madarshahi with insight of the Centre. Later, with the accompany of Ms. HAN, deputy director of ICHEI, the two experts toured around the campus of SUSTech, and interacted with students at an event. On Monday morning, the two experts visited Huawei, where they also had a thorough conversation with the person-in-charge of ICT Education.
