Francois Taddei: Innovation and InterdisciplinarityAugust 7, 2015
On August 6, 2015, Francois met the Project Team in Shenzhen. His presentation and interaction with students brainstormed the issue that higher education, teaching and learning need to be organized differently and realized now. The co-presenter on that day was Dr. Xu Luping, one of the programme Open FIESTA initiators from Tsinghua University, Shenzhen.
As the co-founder of the Centre for Research and Interdisciplinarity in Paris, Professor Taddei and his team have made the Centre a convivial place at the crossroad of life sciences and exact, natural, cognitive, and social sciences. The Centre offers three degree programs integrated in the Bettencourt curriculum. The Centre’s dedicated facilities host visiting professors, a variety of courses, and many student clubs. The main role of the Centre is to promote new educational techniques and strategies to empower students to take initiative and develop their own research projects.
